I posted it on Kyli's facebook and it is so true. Ana looks up to her so much. I know that they both miss each other so much. Ana is constantly asking me when she is going to see Kyli again and is looking forward to Ky being home for a few weeks over the Christmas Break.

I am so thankful that both of my girls have a sister. I know there is a bit of an age difference between them them but I would have given anything to have a sister. I am so blessed to have such talented, amazing girls that are both so beautiful and sweet.

So another thing I am thankful for in November is my girls and what a good example Kyli is to Ana. Thank you Ky for being so good to her and teaching her, she wants to be just like you.

Filipe Onevela

So I saw this poster when I was browsing tonight. It made me realize that I have everything in my sweet husband Filipe. I have been truly blessed with this man. I am so thankful for the way he treats me and my daughters. He is the perfect example of someone that I hope and pray my daughters end up with. He always treats me kind, he tells me everyday he loves me, he writes me beautiful love notes and poems, he calls me just to tell me how much he loves me and he respects me.
There are so many women out there that end up in really bad relationships. Almost everyday I work I see it and each day I realize how truly blessed I have been.
So as the month of November wraps up, I just want to tell my sweet husband, how much I love him and how truly blessed I am to have him in my life. He is so spiritual and is such a good example to me and our kids.
Ofa Atu Filipe Onevela...my eternal companion.

Thief....

So tonight Lipe and I got to experience our first lesson with Ana about taking things that are not yours - AKA Stealing. She went with her Aunt Tamie earlier in the night and apparantly when Tamie was out of the truck, Ana decided to take eight quarters. When she got back to grandma Leslie's house she told Cooper "look at what I stole from Aunt Tamie's truck". So Cooper being the big brother that he is made me aware. We then told Ana that she was going to have to go tell Aunt Tamie that she was sorry. She ran into the bathroom and told us she was not going. She cried all the way to Tamie's while we tried to discuss with her (lecture) about why you don't take things that are not yours.

We got to Tamie's and I gave her the quarters and told her that she needed to tell Tamie what she did and apologize to her. She kept crying. When she got into the house though she had some confidence when she blurted out "I took these and I am sorry". Tamie then talked to her and they got it worked out.

Hopefully my baby girl has learned her lesson about stealing. She did feel really bad and I knew that she was embarassed to tell Tamie. Whew, I am glad that lesson is over and hopefully she learned from it.

Later when I asked Lipe how he was feeling about the whole thing he said "its a journal entry". I felt the same way. lol.

Happy Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for all my blessings.

Just Me

So I saw this picture earlier this evening and loved it. The caption under it was "My mom said I was special". He is so cute. So I am writing about me tonight. I am special. I recently had Gastric By-Pass surgery on October 19. I am four weeks post surgery and down 19 lbs. I already feel so much better. I am completely off my diabetic meds and should be off my high blood pressure meds in about three weeks when I go back for a follow up. I am still on light duty at work and working out everyday.

I really feel like it was a good decision on my part and know that this is a lifestyle change for me and my family. So far they have been so supportive especially Lipe. He is simply amazing. Thanksgiving is next week but I know I am going to be fine.

So heres to a new lifestyle, a healthy lifestyle. I know there are going to be days where it may be tough, but I have a great support system. I think right now my biggest fear is losing my hair. I have been reading and studying about most people losing their hair around the three month mark. My hair is ME. I have always said that was my best feature. I sure hope it doesn't fall out. SCARY.....

I already have so much more self confidence and have had fun dressing up the last few days.

I love my life right now and am truly blessed.

Kisses for Amy

Last year I found a blog about a woman named Amy and her family. They live in Utah. She was diagnosed with cancer in April and lost her life in July of 2010. Her husband started a blog and I would like to include one of his posts. Today I have been feeling a little down and pondering on my trials. I have been praying and was directed to reread this blog. I am humbled at knowing that although I have trials, I have so much to be thankful for, including my health and family. This is a beautiful piece written by her husband and I feel the spirit each time I read it.

As I write this, I am sitting on the front porch enjoying the cool night breeze and the beautiful full moon. (Aren't laptops great.) This just gives me time to relax and think. What a beautiful night. It's nice to have the opportunity to think and pray and sort things out in my mind. I sit and I wonder at all of Gods wonderful creations and how much he loves us, to give us this beautiful earth to live on. I marvel at his matchless love and his power to create and govern all things. I am so grateful for his guidance and the strength he has given me throughout these past few months. I know that he knows and loves me and each of you individually. I am so grateful for my knowledge of the Savior and the plan of salvation and my testimony. There are so many things to be grateful for and I am...

And still I sit her and I wonder what he has in store for me and my family. I wonder why it is that my beautiful wife's time on this earth is almost up. I wonder for what purpose he is taking her from our family at this time in our lives. I wonder how will I continue on without her and what effect this will have on my children's lives. Even with all the knowledge and peace and comfort I have received, there are still so many questions. All I can do is try my best to have faith that He knows the end from the beginning and that Amy's talents and abilities are needed more on the other side of the veil than they are here. I also sit and think of all the wonderful things my wife has done and the amazing legacy she will leave with us. She has attained as much perfection in so many areas of her life as anyone I can imagine and I suppose that she has proven herself a valiant servant and no longer needs to be tried and tested on this earth.

I sit and I think of all the little things that I will miss so much about my wife. I will miss the way we tease each other. I will miss the way she always plans memorable events on holidays and other occasions to help us create so many memories and traditions. I will miss her laugh, her smile and her sense of humor. I will miss the way she lays her head on my chest while we talk in bed. I will miss the way she always says "we need to talk" (even though sometimes I've learned to dread that phrase). and yes I will even miss the way she rolls in bed and wraps the covers around her leaving me to have to snuggle close to stay warm. And then there are all the simple little things that you never realized how much you appreciated, who will pick at the pimples on my back when it breaks out( I know, T.M.I.), or who will scratch my back when I cant reach it or who will remind me (sometimes I called this nagging) of all the things that I need to do. There are so many things that I will miss about my wife that it is impossible to list even a small portion of them. There are so many things about Amy that I have always taken for granted. I just always figured that she would be there. Now I will have to adjust my life to living without having all those things that I really never knew meant so much to me and that is what is going to be the hardest.
Over the past couple of months I have thought long and hard about how much my wife means to me and I have been so grateful for my marriage and the ways in which we have grown together over the years. We have truly been blessed with a great love for each other and we have done a lot to strengthen our relationship over the years though it hasn't always been easy. We have worked hard to overcome differences and difficulties. And as I sit here, I can't help but hope that all of you who read this can have as much happiness and love in your marriage as we have. (Now don't get me wrong it hasn't been total bliss all of the time.) But we have had a strong marriage with all that we have learned and experienced.

I know that there are not nearly as many men who will read this as there are women, but to those who do, I would like to share a little advice with you that might help you to strengthen your marriage... Always take your wife into your arms each and every morning and each and every night and tell her how much she means to you. Don't assume that she knows you love her... tell her... Show her by doing little things to surprise her. Bring home her favorite candy bar when you come home from work just so she knows you were thinking about her. Call her out of the blue during the day and tell her you love her. Tell her something about her that you appreciate each day. think of all the little things you love about her and share them with her. Share a new reason each day. Don't ever think of things that you wish she would improve on, or how you wish she were different in some ways. Always find ways to make her feel like she is your queen. Think of all the things you would miss about her if she were taken from you suddenly, and be grateful for them and show her your gratitude. Don't try to change her, treat her like she is your everything and either change will come because she will want to show you her appreciation in return or more likely you will learn to look past her faults and understand that she is only human and almost as imperfect as you... I know that I directed this to the husbands because I am one, and I suppose I speak from experience as a husband, but I guess that this advice could be just as good for all of you women as well.

Now I know that I am far from a perfect husband and I don't presume to be an expert on relationships but as I have reflected on my own marriage and what has worked and what has not, I have found that our greatest happiness in our marriage came not when my wife was doing all the things that I wanted her to, but when I was doing all the things that I felt she wanted me to. Some how it seems that those efforts were always met with an eventual equal effort on her part to do the same. When we are more concerned about the wants and needs of our spouse than we are with our own wants and needs, we become less self centered and really contribute to the success of our marriages. I am not even sure why I went into all this other than I hope that as a result of the things that I am going through someone else might be strengthened or helped in some way by it. Again, I know I am no marriage counselor, but I have had a lot of time to think about what I will miss about my wife and about all the things I love about my wife. I have tried to be a good husband and I hope that I have shown her the love that she deserves. I don't want to have any regrets. and I hope that each of you will not take for granted the person who should mean the most to you.

I hope each of you who read this get as much from it as I got from writing it. It is such a strength to me to sit down and write the feelings and thoughts that I have. It is a good way for me to sort out my thoughts and feelings. It is a great way for me to reflect on all of my blessings and to recognize all that my Heavenly Father has done for me. I am so grateful to all of our wonderful friends and family who have strengthened me with your words of encouragement and support. I do know that our Heavenly Father loves us and knows what is best for us. He knows our needs and he is aware of our trials and stands ready to give us the comfort we need. The power of prayer is amazing. When we truly come to Him with real intent, he will listen and he will give us what we need to bear our burdens. Thank you all for taking the time to read my ramblings. I know that sometimes I jump from subject to subject but I am just writing the things that are in my heart.

May you all reflect on your own relationships with your husbands or wives and determine to spend your life showing them how and why you appreciate them. May you all find love and joy in your marriages and if you are not married, then may you always remember the things that I have learned and put them to good use when you do get married. May the Lord bless each of you and keep you. It is getting late and I must say goodnight to the beautiful, full moon. Till next time.

We all need AWESOME women, I have the best....

So I wanted to write about the incredible women I have in my life. I was blessed (notice I say blessed) with three older brothers and I was not only the only girl, but the youngest. So yes I had a great advantage over the three boys. I loved my dad so much and I can remember when I was young how he would always spoil me on valentines day with a small box of chocolates and how special I felt because my mom and I got chocolates but my brothers did not..I was blessed to have the awesome parents that I had and got to see and do alot of things.
Two of my brothers have daughters. This past weekend Kevin's daughter Tessa got married and I captured the most awesome picture that tells the whole story.

I am so thankful that Kyli will have an amazing man to give her away and dance with her and I know Lipe will probably shed some tears himself. Thankfully I still have a while with Ana but she will probably have Lipe and her two brothers out there crying...lol...
I love my brothers, and I love their children. I am so proud of Tessa for the decision she made to have a Temple marriage. She is an amazing young lady and we absolutely love Zach. Congrats pretty girl.

Too Fast

So did you notice the new picture of my kids. Wow they are so grown up. I look at that pic and I just cant believe how time flies. So this pic was taken at the Mesa Temple last week when we were there for Tessa's wedding. Ky was part of the bridesmaides and they all wore peach dresses. We started off at the Temple for the ceremony and then ended up at Zach's Uncles house for the reception. We all had a really great time. Ana put on her dress her grandpa's wife made her for her birthday and she was so beautiful, but she was tired and it "itched" so she didn't keep it on for too long, I was able to get a few pics of her in it though.

So I got another amazing pic of Ana with her big sissy Ky. These two girls are pretty much inseperable when they are together. Just look at how beautiful they are.

And then there is Cooper and his sissy, he loves her so much and misses her.

Kelly also loves his big sister alot.

And last but not least I could not leave this post without posting a pic of my very best friend and eternal companion. I am so much in love with this guy and am so very thankful for all he does for me and out little family.

I just want to say that I am so blessed with four amazing kiddos and am so thankful for the love and happiness they bring into my life. I am watching them grow up right in front of me into amazing young adults and I know they are each going to go far and do awesome things. I know that without my heavenly father I would not have the things that I have today.

Crazy Week

Well the last week has been a crazy one. Full of laughter, stress, and blessings. So how can stress and blessings go together in one sentence. Well let me tell you. I have been so blessed this week and so stressed. I had shoulder surgery last Friday the 19th of August. The surgery went well but I had a really hard time coming out of the anesthesia. It was horrible. I was so dang sick throwing up and just out of it. I finally got home around 2100 hours and my surgery was at 1400 hours. Ky an Bernice came to Flag and that was a treat to see them.

The next few days I was sore but okay. Then on Monday the sling came off and I was pretty much back to normal. On Tuesday morning I got a call from Kyli and she told me that she had been with her roommate and that they had been in a car accident on the Interstate. She seemed okay and kept reassuring me that she was. She was calm and I really thought it was just a fender bender. But the longer the day went on and the more information that I began to receive, my baby girl was not going so good. So mom and I made some arrangements for the other kids and jumped in the car and drove to the valley. Ky was at her roommates moms house and she was not feeling too good. We got her loaded up and took her to the ER by her house at St. Joseph's Hospital. She has a concussion and whiplash.

So those events and being broke off my butt was a little stressful. But Lipe and I paid our tithing on Sunday and I know that my baby girl was okay because she was protected by our heavenly father. He has answered so many prayers for Lipe and I the last few weeks and I am so thankful to have him in my life and for his protecting my kiddos.

Blessings and Stress...Its all good......

Lame

So I am totally lame. I can't believe my last post was in December of last year and we are halfway through August. I swear I am going to better. Filipe and I are traveling home from Snowflake right now. It is raining and there is an amazing lightening storm. We went through the temple and it was awesome being there with my handsome husband. I am so blessed to have him in my life. We had a great meal and now enjoying each others company. Ana got to spend the day with Auntie Mary and she was so excited. Well Christmas is in 12 days and the weather has been so nice that it just doesn't feel like Christmas. Yesterday the missionaries spoke in church and they did such a great job. One of the elders told a story about a boy whose brother gave him a nice fancy car for christmas. The car was parked outside in a public place and one night just before christmas he came out to see a poor unkempt boy looking at his car. The other boy asked him if that was his car and he replied that it was and that his brother gave it to him. He was feeling smug at the time. The poor boy began to make a statement "I wish that" and the boy felt that he knew what the poor boys statement would be, " I wish that I had a brother like that". But the poor boy went on to state "I wish that I could be that kind of brother". The statement took the boy off guard. The poor boy then began to make another statement " I wish that I could" and the boy felt that the poor boy was going to say "I wish that I could go for a ride in the car" and the poor boy stated "I wish that someday my brother could ride in a car like this". The boy was again caught off guard. He began to soften a little and asked the boy if he would like a ride home. The boy smiled so big and said that he would. When they arrived at the poor boys home the poor boy ran into the house and scooped up his polio sticken brother, ran him out to the car and the three boys drove around looking at the beautiful christmas lights together. The boy was truly touched and realized how good it felt to give to others.
Today was a good day for me. My Bonco group decided to all pull our money together and give to a needy family. We normally draw names and exchange gifts. We were able to come up with $240.00 and I proposed to them that instead of just one family, we could donate the money to Parenting Arizona which is a group that sponsors about 70 families in the area. They do a christmas party for all their families and feed them and buy all the kids involved a toy. I had to the opportunity to call the head of that group and tell her that I had the money for her. She was so touched and told me that she and her staff were just dicussing how they were going to pull that off and that we were an answer to her prayers. It was so awesome. It felt so good. So thank you ladies of my Bonco group. We did an awesome thing and we will be blessed.
I challenge all of you to find someone in need of a few minutes of your time over the next two weeks and do something nice for that person. It does not have to involve money, just a little bit of your time. Pray for the opportunity to serve and then listen when you are given the prompting and no matter how busy you are there is ALWAYS time to serve others. Happy Holidays to you and yours. We are truly grateful this holiday season for friends and family. We love you all.
Tausinga's, Filipe, Kristi, Kyli, Kelly, Cooper, and Ana Ray

My Journey

Friday I began a "Journey". I bought a book through the LDS Bookstore, 21 Days Closer to Christ. I began my journey on Friday and honestly after just two days I am feeling better already. I have been really struggling lately, not being able to go to church for the last five months and attending my meetings regulary and attending Relief Society, has really taken its toll on me. I have not followed up with my own personal study as I should have and I am feeling it.
So I began my journey on Friday and have Filipe on board. We spent some time Friday reading the first chapter and it talked about Jesus and his deciples and his invitation to Come and See, Come and Follow Me and just trusting him and following him with all your heart.
I am so blessed in my life and I know that I have some issues that I need to work on, but I am blessed.
Day two of the journey talked about the different names that Jesus is called and about knowing your name, honoring it and being true to it. Bring honor to yourself and family and be able to know and be confident that when someone hears your name, they will have good thoughts, and know that you are respectible, honorable, dependable, charitable, sincere, faithful, and all that you can be.
I love my heavenly father and am making a vow to not let myself get into the situation that I did. I may not always be able to attend my meetings because of work, but that doesn't mean that I have to go without getting spiritually fed.

Where has the time gone??

Well I did not realize that it had been so long since I had posted anything. Life is crazy right now with Thanksgiving just having passed and Christmas around the corner. I am definately going to have to try and do better. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and will post something in a few days.

So I went to Prescott this week to visit my cousin Korina. Just me and Ana went and spent the night and then had an early Thanksviving dinner with her and her kids. It was a great day. Ana had been to Utah for a week with her dad and I was grateful for time spent with her. When we were eating Korina asked her what she was thankful for and she said that she was thankful for her mom and family. It was so special. She is such an amazing little girl.

Kyli was not able to come home for Thanksgiving. Tahlisa's parents went down to cook for the girls and they were able to take Kelly with them. So that was good. He is still in the Valley with his sister and hopefully having a great time.

Cooper has been with his dad for a week and gets to come home tomorrow. I cannot wait to see him, I have missed the little fart. He is trying to come up with a plan to go and spend the summer with an Elder that is leaving his mission in two days. Cooper wants to go to Idaho and work on a farm. Should be good for him.

Thanksgiving was spent at Tamie's house this year with just me and Ana and Tamie and her kids. It was quiet but good.

I have so much to be thankful for.

Danny Boy

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_waSIhlKa6ew/TExt4AKwsnI/AAAAAAAAAG0/oGqR8tOBBOM/s320/2009miscellaneous+426.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5497890053997769330" />

Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the flowers are dying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
'Tis I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.

And if you come, when all the flowers are dying
And I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me
And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be
If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me
I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

I'll simply sleep in peace until you come to me.

I just heard this song as I am sitting listening to Hymns on this beautiful Sabbath morning, just chillin and enjoying the peace and quiet at work, reflecting on my life and the things that I have accomplished and yet need to accomplish. This song was sung at my dads funeral and I know that it has always been a favorite of my moms. I am missing my dad and wish he were here to see my kids and meet Filipe and Ana. I brag about what an awesome chess player he was and love it when Lipe tells me "oh man I would whip that fool in some chess", ha for one thing Lipe is an amazing chess player but my dad was smart like that and for another thing those of you that knew my dad, NO ONE made a statement that they would "WHIP" him in anything, all that did was make him show you that you would not win, whether it was Chess, or a good ole fist fight. So yeah, am thinkin I am going to have to go with my dad on that one. :)

I know things didn't end up they way that my mom and family had planned, but I do know that when I was eight years old I entered the St. George Temple and was sealed to my parents, and I truly believe in my heart that when the time comes for my parents to be reunited that all will be forgiven and made well and that our family will continue to forever be eternal. I am truly thankful for the man that he was and is and know in my heart that bacause of the plan of salvation, as long as I live the commandments and do the things that I am supposed to do, I will see and be with him again.

So Danny Boy, Dad, Dan Ramsey, I love you so much, I miss you, but am thankful for the foundation of that gospel that you and my mom raised me on and that I can know in the center of my soul, I will be reunited with you again. Hugs and Kisses. xxoo

Have I Done Any Good?

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 131px; height: 102px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_waSIhlKa6ew/TExqJSTPleI/AAAAAAAAAGs/XsCWIbXUY2k/s320/untitled.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5497885952876451298" />
Mosiah 2:17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.

So one of my favorite church hymns is Have I Done Any Good. This song asks the question "have I done any good in the world today, have I helped anyone in need?"
This morning I had a talk with a good friend about service and how service is lacking in this world today. Our world is so caught up on peoples attitudes of what I can I do for "me", instead of what can I do for "others". I think the valued of service and charity are being buried and that people just don't serve like they should and like they used to.
So I started questioning my service and honestly I don't feel as though I have done a good job of it lately, In a sense I do because of my job, and I really am trying to do a good job there and take each call and make it personal and try to serve the person that has requested my assistance. I feel as though I am doing well in that area, but the area of serving when I am not working is lacking. I know I am a good person and will do things for people when asked, but how often do I self initiate service? Well I cant say exactly, but I can say, not enough.
So today I am setting a goal that every day this week I am going to do something for someone else, not just my family, but others that need my service. I am going to pray each morning for heavenly father to bless me with the opportunity to serve, and I am going to listen to that still small voice inside of me and act upon my prompting and do those things which I am prompted to do. I will write again in one week and report on how my week has gone. I am also going to challenge my kids and husband to do the same thing, and hopefully with all of us serving, we can take a step back and see the blessings that we have been blessed with.

I am feeling old

So Kyli is going to be 18 in two days, and I am feeling quite old. I can remember the day I found out I was going to have a baby I was so excited. I was having the worst cramps though and no morning sickness. I was told that maybe I had a tubal pregnency and that I had to wait two weeks for an ultrasound to make sure she was in the right place. Whew what a relief it was so see that little dot on the ultrasound and know she was growing in the right place. When she was born she was so stinkin little, only 5lbs 14oz and 17 inches long, I can remember she was healthy just small and she was so dry, there was no amneotic fluid around her and her skin was yucky, but when they got her cleaned up she was beautiful, she had a head full of blond hair and still has an amazing head of hair.
Well my beautiful daughter is leaving home soon and has graduated. I am so proud of her and am looking forward to the life she is about to begin to experience. I know that she has a strong foundation and I have given her the tools that she needs to succeed. It is not always going to be easy, but I pray she will hold onto the rod (remember camp Ky when I persuaded you to let go how devistating it was), and remember her heavenly father loves her and wants her to ask for his help to get her through the trials she will face.
I am truly thankful for being blessed with the opportunity to be a mother and that is one of the greatest blessings I have and I cherish every moment. Go forth my daughter and shine. I love you Ky and Happy 18th Birthday.

My bigson the "surfer"

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_waSIhlKa6ew/TEMy00w6K2I/AAAAAAAAAGk/Nh4It0CEWDA/s320/Summer+2010+147.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5495291853420505954" />
So a few weeks ago part of our family went to Utah for a family reunion. Kyli was not able to go and Cooper was at Scout Camp. I had the privelige of going with Lipe, Kelly and Ana. Kelly and I had a great time and had an opportunity to grow alot closer. We hiked up the creek one day and washed our hair in it while trying to avoid some monsterous crawdads and had so much fun. We also had the opportunity to go boating with my cousin Tam her hubby and two of her boys. We had such a great time with them. Kelly got to ride the knee board and try the wake board. Unfortunately the wind came up while he was attempting the wake board and he never really got up, I think he would have if we would have tried earlier in the morning, but he was so fun to watch on the knee board. He has been working this summer and is such a great kid. I have really gotten close with him the past few months while all the other kids have been gone and we have had a great time. He is such an Amazing boy and has so much talent. So although he wasn't technically surfing he was riding the waves dude.

My little son is a what? Wow how that could have happened. I have been posting today about time and how fast the time has gone and yes this another one of those things that I am so amazed at. How could have that sweet little boy that loved the "Iron Giant" and playing in the dirt and mud have grown up so fast that he is entering the eighth grade and just turned the official teenage age of 13 years. Cooper is an amazing young man (do you see a theme here with my amazing children) and he just returned a few weeks ago from Scout Camp where he had an amazing time. He was interviewed this week to advance from Life Scout, he will now be able to begin working on his Eagle Project and will be an Eagle before his 14th birthday. He played baseball this year and was so fun to watch. He is very talented and can do everything out on the field from catching, pitching, first, short to outfield. He had a fun coach, their team struggled, but he was such a leader and stepped up when he was needed to play anywhere. I still have to give him up to his father every now and then and I miss him so much when he leaves, but it is always good to have him home where he belongs. T I am so proud of you too and am loving this amazing young man that you are growing into. You are very talented and have so much going for you. Thank you for being such a great example to the boys that you are in scouts with and your family, (just quit picking on your little sister...lol)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tausingasix.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-little-son-is-what-ha-ha-teenager.html' title='My little son is a what? But all of my kids have been raised in the pool and just because I do not work there anymore, does not mean that she wont either. She does have an awesome Auntie Mary that is an avid swimmer herself and now that her baby boy is growing up, she needed a new prodigy to take to the pool. Ana loves so much to swim and she turned four this year. Her first session of swim lessons she was with kids her own age, then the second session, she got moved up to Level 3 and was in a class with 10, 11 and 12 year olds. What a sight that was. She can pretty much swim across the deep end of the pool by herself, she just runs out of gas, but thats pretty far for a four old. Mary has an awesome underwater Camera that takes fun pics. Ana, I am proud of you and next year you will be on the swim team kickin some butt. Cant wait to watch you.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://tausingasix.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-daughter-what-fish.html' title='My daughter the what? I am sitting here on a beautiful sabbath morning reflecting and wondering where the 2010 has gone. This year started off with me anticipating May 26th which was not only my 5th anniversary, but Kyli's graduation. And now as I sit here on the morning of July 18th, Kyli is leaving in two weeks and will be 18 this coming Saturday. Wow, I can remember when she was born, she was so small and so beautiful. She had a headfull of blond hair and was round and had some cute cheeks. She was early so she was small and her legs would not stay down because of the way I had carried her. We had to put a blanket or something on them to keep them down until her muscles developed. I was so amazed at how small she was but so beautiful. Some babies are just not real cute right at birth, but she was so pretty.
Last night we had such a fun night, it was a birthday party in a sense. Most of the family is going to be gone to Colorado on her birthday, so we had a family dinner. We made Navajo Tacos at our house and the following people were there:
Lipe, Me, Ky, Kelly, Ana, Kelly's friend Cassie, Mom, Korina, Bill, Mary, Robert, Jeri, Alyson, Kevin, Alyson's friend Lyndsie, Tamie, Carli, Bernice, and Big Ken came by to eat. We ate then Jeri, Mary, Ky, Bern and I and the kids played games, we had a blast playing Apples to Apples. I think Jeri is convinced that I am in need of some counseling, I swear thats what being a cop does to you, it warps your mind.
I am so Proud of my daughter and the beautiful young lady that she has become. I am sad that she is leaving, but so much looking forward to seeing what is in store for her future and watching her continue to grow and develop. I love you Kyli Cheyenne and am proud to be your mom. What a blessing you are to those around you and you have touched many lives. Stay close to heavenly father and you will be blessed.

Good News

So tonight I found out that my oldest brother is getting married. I think its awesome, I have not met his future wife yet, but feel like I know her a little. She has a blog and I have been reading about some of the trials that she has gone through. She seems pretty amazing and I am excited to have four new nieces and nephews. I am so thankful that he has found someone and I hope that he will be happy. We all deserve happiness and someone to love us and love back. I have truly been blessed with my Filipe and I thank my heavenly father each day that he is in my life. He is truly an amazing husband and father and such a good example. He is there for me whenever I need him and I am so thankful to know that he is my eternal companion.
Good luck Mike and Andrea. I wish you all the happiness in the world and cannot wait to come to Utah to share in your celebration.
Can it really already be April

Wow I am so amazed at how fast this year has already flown by. I think its because I am anticipating Kyli's Graduation next month and don't want the time to fly by. Its ironic that when you are anxiously awaiting something time seems to drag on and on and it takes forever for that event to arrive, but when you are wanting time to slow down a bit it just flies. I spent this last weekend with my daughter watching her play softball in Vegas. I just kept thinking that as each game passed it was one game closer to her last high school game. Four years have passed so quickly. I will say that I am truly blessed with four amazing children, and am saddened that my first one will be leaving soon to venture out and begin to discover herself and where she is going. On the other hand I am excited to see where life is going to take her, where she is going to go, who she is going to marry, how many children she will have. I know that there are going to be times she is going to struggle and that I am going to have to let her handle situations, and let her learn from her mistakes and grow, but I am also excited to share the situations that will bring new love, new life and new callings.
I have been struggling a bit with Kelly, he just wants to grow up too soon. He wants things that a 14 year old boy should not want at this stage in his life. He wants to be where Kyli is at and he is not there yet. I just hope that Kelly will slow down a bit and stop and smell the roses, you don't get these years back. It is a curse of time.
Well April, bring us some showers and tell your friend the wind to go away.

Eternal Companion

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_waSIhlKa6ew/S53s2Lk49_I/AAAAAAAAAFs/lmu-OGbqAOY/s320/dec09+099.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448771539752777714" />

So this is Filipe, my hubby of almost five years and my Eternal Companion. I am truly blessed to have him in my life. Lipe and I met on the internet which is a really fun story. We began to speak through email and phone in March of 2005, we finally got to meet face to face on April 26 and shortly after he asked me to marry him and then on May 26th we got married. It was quick and everyone was wondering what the heck I was thinking, but after alot fasting and praying, I knew he was the one, and I loved him. We were able to go through the temple in March of 2007 and be sealed to our little girl. He is amazing and my love for him grown stronger each day. He treats me and the kids so good, and has such a strong spirit. I love sitting in the temple with him and seeing him all dressed in white, next to that beautiful brown skin. He is so handsome and our daughter looks so much like him, she is beautiful too. He is a good father and husband and loves Kyli, Kelly and Cooper as his own. Each day I thank my heavenly father for blessing me with him.
Summer Recap

Wow, I just cannot believe how fast this summer went. It was so dang busy and just flew by. Ana was in three of the four sessions of swim lessons and loved it. She was by far one of the most advanced three year olds, she is not afraid of the water and loves it. She has had alot of help from her Auntie Mary and is awesome. She is also so dang tan that she makes the rest of look "glowing" white. She got to travel to Colorado and spend some time at the cabin and also got to go to Utah for a week. I left her with Lipe's sister for two nights and by the third day she talked to me on the phone and couldn't even talk she was sobbing so much for me to come and get her, I was in tears. She kept telling me how happy she was that she was back with me and one night when me and Lipe were driving with just her she said "mommy you make my heart feel good"....it was so stinkin cute, I just melted. She is an amazing little girl and brings so much happiness into our home.

Cooper was gone with his dad for most of the summer. He did make All Stars and got to play in three All Star games. The team did not do to well, but I think for the most part he had fun. I always miss him so much when he is gone. He got to go to Scout Camp and I think he had a really good time there. He is very interested in snakes and had expressed that he wanted to try eating one. Well his wish came true. While he was at Scout Camp a Rattle Snake wondered into their camp. Brother Ricks was there and killed it and skinned it and cooper got to cook it. He said that it was very good and that he would eat another one if the opportunity ever came. He turned 12 this summer and recently was ordained a Deacon and last weekend got to go to the Snowflake temple to do baptism's for the dead. Filipe and I were lucky enough to get to go with them and what an amazing thing it was for me to be there with him for his first experience in the temple. He is an amazing boy and I miss him so much when he is gone. He is definitely a pre teen and the whole time he was with me this summer he had MY phone and texting like crazy.

Kelly was gone most of the summer. He left at the end of May to go spend some time in Utah with my brother. While he was there he got to go to acting and drama camp. He loved it and did not want to come back. But he did just in time for Cheer Camp. He was not looking forward to it, but ended up having a really great time. He is so grown up and handsome and looks older than 14. He is busy already with cheer at school and once the games start next week, I will hardly see him. He also got to spend some time in Colorado and ended up getting to go to Vegas with Kevin and Tamie. He earned some money too this summer, Kevin hired him to do vending and Milk while they were on Vacation, and he did a great job.

Kyli was way busy this summer. She played on two softball teams for a while and did some traveling. She got to go on her annual California Trip with the girls basketball team and while there did Disneyland, and Sea World. She enjoyed that trip and got to spend some time with one of her best friends, Jen. Then four girls from the Basketball trip got on a plane and flew to Salt Lake for a week long softball tournament. They had some drama but the trip ended up being pretty good. Especially for Kyli, she played some awesome ball and I was so proud of her. While there, she turned 17. She played three games on her birthday and was amazing and she ended up taking one out of the park. She was a busy girl trying to play ball and work and had to end up having surgery at the end of the summer just to get some rest.

My summer went fast. I had surgery on my right hip on June 30 and got to stay with the kids the rest of the summer. That was truly a blessing. I enjoyed my Utah trip. Not only did I get to watch Ky play ball, but my best friend Mary and Robert went with us. So I got to spend some time with her showing her around and the best part was Temple Square. I also got to go through the Provo Temple with Chase when he got his endowments and also Lipe and I got to go through the Salt Lake Temple and do a live session. That was neat. I met Elder Page's mom and family and loved them. They ended up having us over for dinner and a small party for Ky's birthday. It was so fun. Chelsea's baby is so stinkin cute and it was good to see her. It was definitely a busy week but fun.

I am going to try and get some pics up soon. Took quite a few this summer.
Birthday

Well here it is, another birthday for you know who....I don't know if I want to disclose how old I am today, but lets just say that I am pushing the big 40....Uggg I remember thinking how old that was and now here I am....but I guess it mostly sucks because up until Aug of last year, I didn't feel that old, but since getting hurt, I feel really old and run down now....

So its only 5 in the morning and already my birthday has started out great....Lipe is not accustomed to doing the whole gift and card thing, so he has struggled the last four years, in his culture they don't really exchange gifts and all the hoopla....so last night he tells me that he didn't get me anything for my birthday, and I was teasing him because our Anniversary was also this week and zero, nada, nothing....so I was teasing him that he was losing points.....so he ends up taking the kids to Wal Mart because Brayliana wanted to get me something for my birthday....well when I got into my car to come to work, there was a card in there for me, so that was awesome....then I walked into dispatch and there was a dozen roses sitting on the table here at work, and they were so beautiful....I pretty much knew they must be for me and then I checked the little card and that confirmed it....there are 11 red roses and 1 white rose with pink tips....it was sticking a little higher than the others...

So yeah later on he called me and I was teasing him telling him that I have a Secret Admirer, he asked me why and I told him that I had a dozen red roses sitting here at work, and he told me that they couldn't be from him....I asked him why and he told me that if he would have sent them there would be 11 red and 1 another color....I asked him what the symbolism was for that and he said that the one that is not red stands out and is unique, just like me......awwwwwww okay you can gag if you want, but I thought it was awesome.....so that's my birthday rolled in at midnight....I know the kids have some things planned and I am looking forward to that....I was trying to get it out of Ana last night, and she wanted so badly to tell me, but Kyli and Kelly were threatening her with her life if she told me and then they yelled at me to leave her alone and quit trying to get it out of her....

Well it looks as though the graduation night went well and there have been no major incidents here in dispatch....I am so looking forward to my trip to Utah tomorrow and possibly seeing another old friend, Kristen Kimberlin Christensen....I hope it all works out...
Is It Really Almost June?

Well it has been a few months since I have posted anything, and I have tons of stuff I want to get on here. But reality has set in this last week as school is winding down. On Saturday we went to two graduation parties in Jo City and it really hit me that this time next year, I will have a graduating Senior. Kyli Cheyenne, is going to start her Senior year in two months and wow I am a little emotional about that fact.

The Second and Third weekends of May were spent in the valley at the State Softball Tournament. Our girls made it to the State final game and needless to say although we did not win, what an accomplishment it was for them to get there. Winslow High School has not had a team in the state finals since my Junior Year when we took state and that was 21 years ago. I am proud of Ky and her team for making it that far and we have a bright future to look forward to next year as we have 8 of the 9 starters returning. These girls work hard and should be proud of themselves.

Kelly's last day in Junior High School was yesterday and I am so proud of him, he has struggled in Jr. High and those teenage years, but he is an amazing young man and I know that High School should be good for him. He tried our for cheer and made the J.V. team, and he is excited for that. He is going to Utah in three days for the whole month of June and is very excited about that. He will be taking some acting and dancing classes and just hanging out with his cousins.

Cooper is playing little league baseball right now and doing an amazing job for his team. His team is struggling as a whole, but they are a good little group of boys and his coaches are great. They are teaching the boys about sportsmanship and other life lessons and I think that is great. They are not about having to Win every game and they are very supportive of their team. Cooper is doing a great job at Catcher, Pitcher and first. He is an awesome ball player and I am so proud of him.

Ana is keeping us all busy with her drama and antics. She is three now and so stinkin cute. She is very dramatic and is three going on twenty three. She went to her first birthday party this week and had a fun time. She dressed in her princess outfit and went with a bunch of little princesses for their princess party. Happy Birthday Ava and thanks for the invite. She went to Phoenix with us and loves the ballgames, especially with her very best friend Brynlee. They have been the best of friends through the softball season and are going to miss each other now that the season is over. Ana is a great little swimmer and I anticipate that by the end of the summer she will be swimming. She absolutely loves it and is so comfortable in the water. I think that by the time she spends with me and Auntie Mary in the pool she will be a little fish by the end of the summer.

I have the most amazing and talented kids. They are all so well mannered, good students and I love spending all my time with them. My life would be so much better if I didn't have to work and could just spend each day with my kids and family. I love them so much and they are growing up too fast and a year from now I will lose my first one to graduation and our family is going to miss her, but I am excited for her and to see what is going to prosper for her in the future.

Four Years of Bilss <3

Wow what a great day May 26th was, it was mine and Lipe's fourth anniversary. I just have to say that I do not know what I did to deserve such an amazing man, but I truly have been blessed. Lipe is such an inspiration to me and knowing that he is my eternal companion just makes it that much sweeter. I am truly thankful to my heavenly father for blessing me with this wonderful man who is an amazing husband and father. He came to this small town not knowing much about anything here, he did not have a job and he followed his heart and the spirit, and I am so thankful that we both followed the promptings from our heavenly father and listened to the answers to our prayers. I prayed for many years for him and the same for him. It was so hard being a single mom and trying to raise three kids, trying to date and trying to find that one person that would not only love me but my children as well. There were many lonely nights and many many prayers, I did not want to be alone, but I also knew that the person I chose had to know that it was a package deal. I met alot of people but none of them felt right for me and my family.

In March of 2005 I received a message on my LDS Singles page from him, he was so sweet. He told me to give him a call. I believe this was on March 16th or 17th I cant remember the exact day. I did call him and immediately we hit it off. We began talking to each other for approximately three to four hours a couple of times a day. When your twelve hours apart, and "dating" over the phone, it is nice because you don't have to deal with all the physical aspects of a relationship, so it really gave us a chance to get to know each other. We were so comfortable talking to each other it was like we were long lost friends (ha which i truly believe we were..:) :)so approximately a week and half, yes that's what I just said, A WEEK AND A HALF, he told me that he loved me. I had some crazy emotions because I was like, you cant love me after a week and a half, you don't even know me (I didn't say that to him, that's just what I was thinking), but then I was like oh my gosh, I love him too. It just didn't seem right, you hear about these kinds of stories, but I was in it and it was CRAZY. He was so stinkin cute when he said it though, it was like a 13 year old kid saying it for the first time, basically we were talking at about two in the morning, my kids were all at their dads house, so I was home along, lying in Kyli's bed and we were talking normally and then as we were saying good-bye he said really fast and nervous " I love you" and then he hung the phone. So yeah I was pretty much lying there going "did he just tell me that he loved me?" and then part of me going "Naw, he just didn't say that" and it was back and forth and back and forth. I just needed to tell someone but there was no one to tell. How could he know that.

About a week later we were both having some very strong feelings for each other. At that time I was not endowed so I could not go to the temple, but he was. We made a deal that we would not speak, write or communicate with each other for three days and that we would take that three days and fast and pray and he would go to the temple, we would ask our heavenly father if this was the direction that we were both supposed to take. Oh man, did I miss talking to him. He had already become a huge part of my days, and I looked forward to talking to him (btw it was usually from midnight to around four or five in the morning after he got off from work, and then I had to be to work at 7:30) but it was totally worth it. I missed him, I prayed and I fasted and I knew then in my heart that we were supposed to be together. I was nervous and scared, and to tell my family "oh by the way, I met this guy on the internet two weeks ago, and we fell in love and were getting married", ha yeah how do you tell your family that and them not look at you like "girl you are desperate, and you need some counseling".

Well at the end of the three days, we both felt very strong about this. At that point we seriously began to talk marriage, and remember that we had not met yet, this was all based off talking, e-mails and pictures.

Around the second weekend of April I was working at the Winslow Invitational Track Meet and it was a beautiful and hot day. He called me and I was standing by the long jump pit when he officially asked me to marry him. I told him that I needed to meet him one time and I truly believed at that time, when I could look into his eyes, I would know and I could give him an answer. I wanted to jump for Joy and again I needed to "tell someone", so the first person in my sights was Janice Stewart who was scoring for the long jump, so yeah, Janice got to share my news with me and she was pretty much clueless, but she was very supportive.

On the morning of April 26th it was a Saturday and I was at a little league baseball game for Cooper. Lipe called me on the phone and basically he was hanging out with his Uncle David and that they were kinda bored and that his Aunt was in Tonga, so they were just cruising around. I asked him if I could talk to his Uncle. He gave me the phone and I basically told his Uncle that had asked me to marry him and that I truly felt in my heart that this was supposed to happen, but that I needed to at least meet him. I then asked his Uncle if he would drive him to Winslow that day so that we could meet. He told me that he would talk to Lipe about it and they would call me back. They called back a while later and told me that they would come to Arizona and that they would leave around four or five that afternoon. Oh my gosh, I was so excited, I was finally going to get to meet him. I went home and began to clean my house and that night went to a wedding reception for a friend. I did not sleep all night in anticipation for meeting him. He called me around four in the morning and advised me that they were in Page and they would be at my house in approximately three hours. It was Sunday morning and the boys were with their dad, but I had Kyli there with me.

When the vehicle pulled up in front of the house, my heart stopped. Remember I said that once I saw him and looked into his eyes that I would know. Well I was exactly right. When I opened the door his Uncle was standing in front of him, I hugged him and thanked him for bringing him to Arizona. Then his Uncle came into the house and Lipe and I stood there looking at each other. He was amazing, beautiful and those beautiful brown eyes of his just melted my heart. I could see his kindness, his spirit and I knew in my heart that he was going to be my husband. I could see this aura around him of a person with a strong love for the gospel and I knew that he was a man of god and I loved him. We spent twelve hours together that day. I did not want him to leave. He asked me again that day to marry him and I accepted his proposal. His Uncle who had once been a Bishop, counseled us and he was amazing. Both of these men had such a strong spirit and love for the gospel.

Needless to say that one month later, on May 25, 2005 Lipe came to Winslow with my brother and sister-in-law for Chelsea's graduation. We went to Holbrook that afternoon to get our marriage license and our first real meal together as a couple was at Romo's. I worked the graduation that night and the next day we were married in my moms back yard.

Two months later I found out I was pregnant. In December of that year I went through the Temple and then in March of 2007 we were sealed together for time and all eternity. Each day it seems as though our love for each other gets stronger and stronger. He is a father to all of our children and the kids accepted him right from the beginning.

I am truly blessed to have this amazing man in my life and thank my heavenly father for bringing us together and for giving us the gospel as a tool, and especially for the knowledge that no matter what, we will be together forever.
Wow, the last two days have been incredible.....Last night Lipe and I got the opportunity to go to Holbrook and attend a fireside given by Barbara Barrington Jones....It was AMAZING.....Let me start off by saying that although I have never met her personally until last night that I feel like I know her a little bit....She and my oldest brother Mike are friends and I have heard so much about her and what an amazing woman that she is....Her fireside was amazing.....she had all the couples laughing, crying and enjoying ourselves so much....she is the cutest lady that has a very strong spirit and beautiful smile....today I got to go back for another presentation just for the women, it too was awesome.....we had two, two hour sessions and she was again funny, sweet, and just beautiful....She is doing another session tomorrow night for the youth and I am so excited for Kyli to see her....Last night Kevin, Tamie, Lipe and I met her and told her who we were, she was so excited to meet us....we told her that we had heard so much about her.....What an awesome day.....
Sick.....:( :(

Last week Brayliana had a really high fever for two days.....On the second day we asked Jason to come over and help give her a blessing....It was late at night and Lipe and Jason gave her a blessing....she was so sweet, she just sat there and even folded her arms....she did not feel good at all....when I finally put her down that night she was restless for a while and then finally fell into a really deep sleep.....the next morning even though she still had a fever, she felt better.....she asked to go to her favorite place, McDonalds....when we told her that she couldn't go because she was sick she put us in our place by telling us that she was not sick cause heavenly father made her better.....it was so cute....so later on that day, we saw her giving her "Dora" doll a "blessing" complete with her hands on the dolls head....2 year olds, gotta love em.....:)

Our family had a good day today.....after school and activities, we went to the High School for Kyli's parent teacher conferences...after hearing from her teachers that she has good grades, and what a "wonderful" student she is (who talks alot) we took advantage of the free food....my family loves the Hot Dogs that are served on this occassion....we came home and participated in Family Home Evening that Cooper was in charge of....he had brought a movie from his grandparents house that he wanted us to watch....we started off with a opening prayer and then Ana picked the song....so we sang "Popcorn".....then we watched a very good church movie called the Passage to Zarahemla....it was good....after the movie we concluded family home evening with "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam" and a closing prayer by Lipe....it was a great night....little did we know that we were going to get some more family time.....Ana went to the back door and discovered that it was snowing and that it had snowed....she was so excited....it was about 9:40 and bedtime....needless to say from the pictures, we did not go to bed....instead we embraced the weather and went to the backyard to play....it was so bright outside with the streetlights and the full moon that we could see so good and the snow was falling hard....Cooper started off in his boxers, but soon put some warmer clothes on....Kyli was a little grumpy and did not want to play...she kept telling us that we were acting like we had never seen snow before....its just been a while and it was so beautiful....so we took some type='text'>February

Wow, I am totally in awe that the first week of Feb has already come and gone....Tonight we went to Wal Mart and as we always have to do when we have Brayliana in tow, we had to go look at toys....That girl could spend hours in the toy isles and there have been days that she and I did just that....I just don't understand how she can want everything she sees, but then when she does get a new toy, it sits at home and she never even shows interest in it again....this week I made a "seek and find" bag at Enrichment....I can't wait until Sunday to take it to church and see if it will keep Ana busy....Thanks Teresa for the great idea....I had a great time and it was a great opportunity to take a friend.....I also got a chance to talk to Natalie and get to know her a little better....She is awesome....Welcome to Winslow Natalie....I am about to get this figured out....
<img width='1' height='1'
